Job Title: MANAGER – TABLE GAMES SHIFT
PENDING LEGISLATIVE APPROVAL
MAJOR FOCUS: Responsible for managing a staff of table game employees on an assigned shift placing special emphasis on guest service, positive employee morale, and accurate dealing procedures.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Manages all table games operations and oversees customer play to protect the integrity of the games and safeguard the casino’s assets.
Directs the opening and closing of individual games based on business levels.
Displays a thorough knowledge of games, house rules, counting methods, and procedures covering each of the games offered.
Ensures compliance with all applicable rules and regulations.
Ensures accurate and timely table fills.
Oversees the issuance of credit and complimentaries to guests.
Directs the tracking of player ratings.
Oversees the security of all cards, chips, dice and all gaming equipment.
Makes decisions and settles disputes that may arise.
Provides detail reports regarding any gaming infractions.
Assists in the development and management of the departmental budget; controls labor and expenses.
Hires, coaches, counsels and evaluates subordinate employees.
Oversees and ensures the timely completion of employee evaluations.
Conducts training with subordinates, both formally and informally.
Issues discipline and terminates employees as appropriate.
Other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS/EDUCATION:
Minimum of 3 years experience in Table Games management
Must possess extensive knowledge of all games (Blackjack, Roulette, Craps and Poker)
Must possess extensive knowledge of casino rules, regulations and procedures
High school diploma, GED or equivalent
Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office software.
Must possess knowledge of casino rules, regulations and procedures
Must possess excellent customer service and leadership skills
Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills
ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS:
Accountable to: Director of Table Games
Accountable for: Assistant Shift Managers, Floor Supervisors, Dealers
