MAJOR FOCUS:
The Restaurant Greeter /Cashier is responsible for seating customers, organizing server sections, and tendering point of sale transactions
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
* Greets guests, distributes menus, and advises guests of specials.
* Operate POS systems to itemize and total guests’ checks, and accept payment. Makes change, cashes checks and issues receipts or tickets to customers.
* Correctly enter all pertinent information of an order including special items, cooking meat instructions, no seasoning etc.
* Assists in identifying casino comps, hotel and VIP guests for seating; communicates with comp authorizer (signer) regarding any comp charges
* Maintain accuracy of bank and complete cash transactions according to established procedures.
* Prepare and maintain tip payout slips.
* Print reports and/or complete paperwork at the end of shift.
ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS:
* Performs other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS/EDUCATION:
* High School Diploma or equivalent experience required.
* Prior host/restaurant service attendant/ cashier experience preferred.
* Ability to understand and learn POS procedures and handle cash.
* Fluency in Italian a plus.
* Good knowledge of Italian foods and wines a plus.
* Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
* Ability to handle pressure during peak business periods.
* Ability to perceive quality of work, read material and review documents; receive instructions and hear inquiries from guests, clients, or staff
